The Metropolitan Police has shared interview footage showing the moment former UCL student and rapist, Zhenhao Zou, realises he’s been caught.

A man has been charged after the knife attack on Salisbury Road in Cathays.

Abdul Ali, 19, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

A Bournemouth student needed screws in his face after an “extremely drunk” teenager attacked him.

The assault happened on 1st November 2023 after the unnamed student “inadvertently”  bumped into Monty Hughes, who was 19 at the time.

Man in hospital following 'serious assault' with a knife on Salisbury Road in Cathays

A man is in hospital following a “serious assault” with a knife on Salisbury Road in Cathays.

The incident occurred last night (Tuesday, 25th February) at around 11:30pm near Gassy’s.

South Wales Police told The Cardiff Tab that the man in hospital has suffered serious injuries, and a police cordon still remains at the scene.

Three men have been arrested following the incident in Cathays, which a police spokesperson has called “a serious assault which is believed to have involved a knife”.

The Welsh Government has announced the creation of a £19 million fund to support universities.

Cardiff University could face strike action over proposed job and course cuts

Cardiff University could face strike action over proposed job and subject cuts.

This comes as Professor Wendy Larner announced 400 jobs could be slashed from the university, which equates to around seven per cent of the work force.
